Back in black

This blog is back to being black, after Arsenal lost 2-0 at home yesterday to Aston Villa. I was hoping they'd go on an extended run of good results, which I could attribute to my blog being red, but that run lasted for a whole one game.

I should be doing a proper post soon. I've made a note of a few specific things I want to mention, rather than me just prattling on about how much I had to drink last night. Hopefully I can keep it quite light-hearted in contrast to my recent postings, which attracted some criticism from my reader(s)! All comments are welcome so thanks to John the Gambler for frequently adding his thoughts.

I have work to go to so bye for now.

Well I had money on Arsenal on Saturday so wasn't impressed they lost :o)
Have a good time in LA though, great place, been there a couple of times. Hired a Mustang Convertible the second time we were there and drove down to Palm Springs then across to Grand Canyon and Vegas, happy days :o)

Wow, a deluge of comments, much appreciated!

Talkbet, it would appear that LA is burning down so may well have to go on a drive similar to yours (probably minus the Mustang unfortunately). May have to pop to Vegas at some point to make back all expenditures...

The Mustang was a spur of the moment thing, we just got on a computer at a hotel we were staying at and searched for Mustang hire in LA. It wasn't a new one and to be honest was probably no more than a standard 'new' rental car.
Make sure you do all the tourist'y stuff, I'd recommend jumping on a tour bus to go round the stars homes in Beverley Hills, you can buy maps but easier having someone drive you and tell you, cheesey I know but when in LA :o)
Venice Beach is a laugh as well, spend an afternoon down there.
You'll enjoy the bars on Sunset strip as well.
We also did the Universal Studio tour but not sure if this is open as there was a big fire there a while ago I think.
There is a more down to earth film studio set you can go round, sorry cant remember which one, which takes you round a 'proper' film studio, thats also well worth doing.
As well as the usual tour buses there is also a hearse you can jump in to which takes you round the seedier parts of LA and the stories behind them, River Phoenix, Hugh Grant etc . :o)
