Dreadful weather here in Northwest London today. It's nearly summer. Why is this happening? I'm not sure if I can stomach another summer like last year's.
Well I cleared out my bankroll on one poker site today. I don't even think I played badly, just ran a bit badly. Had smaller pocket pairs run into larger ones a couple of times, and also had people all-in on the flop with the best hand but they made their draws. Can't complain really, they're kind of standard losses for a poker player.
So I turned my attention to sports betting again. Unfortunately I let my position in the cricket ride a bit too long, and I ended up greening out for only 10% of the figure I was expecting to pick up. A green's a green though, so at least I made a winning return to trading.
Looking on Kickingbets, there are a few suggestions out there that interest me. This afternoon I backed Russia each-way to win Euro 2008.
So my outstanding bets at the moment are:
- Russia to win Euro 2008 (29/1)
- Russia to reach Euro 2008 final (14.5/1)
Sports Personality of the Year:
- Beth Tweddle (66/1)
- Zara Philips (50/1)
- Kelly Sotherton (25/1)
- Jessica Ennis (35/1)
Maybe I'll have a look at the French Open this afternoon, but if I do it will be small stakes as I've never really hit the nail on the head with tennis trading.
I'm also probably going to be betting on Phil Taylor to win the Premier League Darts later. He's currently available at 1.4, and a 40% ROI on backing the best player of all time seems reasonable. He has what should be a straightforward match against Lewis to begin with, and then should put away Barneveld in the final. We'll see.
I was going to write about another goal that I've set myself, though I'm in a gambling mood now so I will save it for another time.
Thanks for reading
