I'm a mug punter

Profit/loss since last update: -£19.90

A bad day at the office. I'm so stupid sometimes. At least I've learned a lesson - never follow Alan Marsh's 'tips'. I lost a tenner on his selection at the 2.50 at Cheltenham, which he recommended to have as part of a double with Kauto Star in the Gold Cup (which was well beaten also). Thankfully I passed on the double, but the damage was still done. The horse might have come last for all I know; it certainly wasn't on the screen for any of the final lap.

In a desperate bid to make my money back I layed Kauto Star to place in the next, which was another losing mug bet. I lost a few more quid on some antepost bets I'd had on the top jockey market. All in all, a very poor day. Even worse because I should be saving up for a holiday I've agreed to go on with my mate from uni in early June. Ugh, I'm such an idiot.

I still recommended Denman to my mate Lawrence earlier, so I can be slightly happy about that.

Tomorrow. Arsenal play Middlesbrough at 5.15, so that will be an early start on the drinks front.Speaking of Arsenal - what a lousy Champions League draw. And as for Chelsea, how do they get away with such easy draws, all the time?

I don't deserve to go out tonight, so looks like I'll be staying in watching Sleepless in Seattle with my mum and sister.

Happy days.
