I haven't felt much like blogging this week, but as it is now the eve of my descent into working life I thought it would be appropriate to post. Neither the lottery win nor the bank robbery happened this week, and I will be starting at British Airways tomorrow. I'm telling myself now that I must use my spare time to make as much extra money as possible, hopefully from continuing to build my poker bankroll. I got it into three figures this week, which isn't bad for playing limits of 0.01/0.02. As you'd expect, the play at that level is pretty damn awful. Yeah your AA loses to J8 here and there, but on the whole it's hugely profitable if you consider the percentage ROI.
Anyhow, I was expecting this to be a philosophical entry. I haven't thought of the meaningful crux yet, so it will have to wait.
I see that John the Gambler had a very bad day on Betfair yesterday and is taking a break. I'm still on my break from trading after my disaster a short while ago, and my renewed concentration in poker is going extremely well. So John, I advise taking the time off, I'm actually enjoying it!
I'm sorry folks but I can't find the inspiration to write about anything philosophical. However, I have had a couple of ideas recently and would like to write about them on here at some point. One of them is about the element of luck involved in becoming truly successful, and the other is about the concept of going beserk in your twenties and trying to earn a whole load of money to fall back on when you're older (but not that much older). I'm sure you're all riveted.
